HIRING OF PROJECT DIRECTOR-NIHD CENTER OF EXCELLENCE FOR PREVENTIVE CARDIOLOGY RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT NEPCARD

Applications are invited for the position of Project Director from highly committed and motivated Professionals with proven track record in the relevant field on Contract Basis for the project titled "Establishment of NIHD Center of Excellence for Preventive Cardiovascular Research and Development" abbreviated as NEPCARD. This project involves construction, equipping and staffing of a three storied tower (with basement) housing offices, research labs and allied services.

3. Qualification

Applicant should be MBBS/Electrical/Civil/Mechanical Engineering graduate degree, MBA / MPA, Master/ BS (4 year degree) in Economics, from HEC recognized university. A combination of above mentioned qualifications is however preferable.

4. Terms of Reference

a. Demonstrated work experience of 10 years (more will be preferred) in a public sector preferably ISO Certified/ JCI certified cardiovascular hospital (preferably), in project management/facility management. At least, 5 Years in a tertiary care hospital.

b. A clear understanding of working in public sector environment with regards to capital building projects.

c. Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate internal teams together with external consultants and multi-disciplinary project teams, exercising judgment and effectively respond to the demands of a high pressure environment. exercising strong checks on cost and time over runs.

d. Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to develop high level strategies for communicating and consulting within Government, stakeholders and the community.

e. Demonstrated ability to deal with public sector procurement and secure optimal outcomes through complex commercial negotiations and risk mitigation planning. Sound knowledge of PPRA rules is mandatory.

f. Demonstrated ability to provide high level policy advice within short time frames, including the ability to synthesize facts, conduct detailed analysis, interpret, monitor and evaluate relevant data on approved forms and formats. Furnish reports accordingly, ensuring safe custody, of project documents

g. Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behavior.

5. 6. At the time of test and/or interview the candidate will have to provide original certificates and documents for consideration by the competent authority.

7. Maximum age at the time of application is 63 years. No age relaxation will be admissible. 8. Only short listed candidates through shall be called in for test/interview, for which no TA/DA will be admissible.

9. The Ministry of Defense reserves the right to fill or withhold the appointment against the advertised post.

10. Above job is being offered purely on contract basis for 2 years, extendable on yearly

basis subject to satisfactory performance. Applicants are therefore expected to indicate their anticipated ability to commit to the project for its duration i.e.4 years.
